Boston-based four-piece Lockette is reminiscent of feminist alternative bands of the 90s such as Belly, Sleater Kinney, and The Breeders. A common love of the occult, fuzz pedals, and catchy hooks drives these women and seeps into their music. Their unique brand of indie pop-rock will have you dancing by the first song and their thought-provoking lyrical honesty keeps you captivated.
Lockette's Compromise EP, released July 2019, exemplifies their fluency in writing catchy hooks and meaningful songs. You can expect more standout tracks from them this summer with their third EP, release date TBA.
